Hope you see this comment, Tyler, but I would highly recommend you listen to as much of my fave band of all time, Blue Rodeo, especially the album 5 Days in July, which is the album “It Hasn’t Hit Me Yet” is from. It is one of those albums that are good from first to last song, and like so much of Canadian music, Blue Rodeo’s music is so tied to the Canadian land. You will find yourself hearing places you may have heard of in their lyrics, or you may hear of new ones that might inspire you to find out more. This was fun! Thanks for doing it!❤

Matthew Good Band's most well-known song is probably Hello Time Bomb, but I love hearing anything out of them so I wouldn't call picking that song a mistake at all

Most of the bands you’ve listened to are from the 90s. You haven’t even gotten to the classic rock from the 70s yet. Like “American Woman” from the “Guess Who”, “Weeping Widow” by “April Wine”, “Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” from Bachman Turner Overdrive”, or “Armageddon” by “Prism”.

We have a HUGE amount of REALLY GOOD music in Canada as our music industry has been very supported by our government since the 70s. This means that there is A LOT to discover. Please take your time & go through it a little at a time so you get to know what we are all about as we have such a diverse style & for DECADES! Also, ALWAYS make sure that you AT LEAST hit the chorus each time! PLEASE! 😄

Here are JUST A FEW - BIG/POPULAR suggestions of our music: The Tragically Hip - "New Orleans is Sinking" The Barenaked Ladies - "One Week" (Tom Cochrane) & Red Rider (may just be listed by the band name) - "Lunatic Fringe" - (Very relevant today!) SKIP TO THE MIDDLE THOUGH - THE INTRO MAY FRIGHTEN YOU!! There are SO MANY MORE - I think that you will need to do a part 5, 6, 7 etc. - maybe a little over time.

As a music teacher, I appreciate his recognition of the lyrics, and unique sounds. Canadian music tends to be deep, lyrically (Rush, Tragically Hip, etc), and as such, doesn't do well on American radio. If you listen to the podcast "Stuff You Should Know", you'll hear many references to Rush. They were a thinking person's band.
